March 1. Praise the Lord for sunshine again, although the air was quite chilly early in the morning, and a very cool wind came up later in the morning. Wrote a very short e-mail and another which I intended to be longer, but struggled a bit with what to write. So I just left it short and promised to write more later. Elijah and Nehemiah came to cut firewood, and Mike and Wan replaced screen on most of the rest of the windows that have been torn for too long a time — since the house was stoned in 2013. (They ran out of screen before they finished.) I did take time for more Bible study after writing the e-mails. Other time today was spent working on the print file for the New Testament scriptures. “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” (Job 23:10) “9) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10) As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:9-10) March 2. Chilly, windy, and drizzly today. The house is very cold. Thankful for fire in the wood stove. Even with that, I had warm socks and my slippers on all morning and didn’t remove jacket until noon, and sweatshirt until after nap. Judy came early and washed clothes, but had to hang them inside. She also husked and cut up uxai with onion, peeled and cut up pumpkin, and filled the wood box. So grateful for her help this morning. I looked through the e-mails, deleted a couple, copied one out to print for Daddy to take to town and answer for Connie, printed that plus shopping list and a page of Matthew to make sure the print I am using is easily readable. Also tended the peanuts that had been roasting in the wood stove oven and the uxai and pumpkin that were cooking on top of the wood stove. Later I worked on making corrections in Matthew and setting up more of it in the print file. This evening, I did more work on the “Ready” lessons for the final missionary training course. “But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” (I Peter 4:13)
